Tami Arbuckle Washington of Lubbock passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones Saturday June 10th, 2017. Tami was born December 24, 1959 in Levelland, TX to Clay and Claudia Arbuckle. Tami grew up in Levelland and attended Levelland schools. She graduated in 1978 then attended SPC in Levelland graduating from the vocational nursing program. Tami would have celebrated 40 years of nursing in January 2018.

Lovingly known as Mama T and T, Tami was very family oriented, selfless, and a virtuous woman of God. She was kind, loving, tender hearted, and had a kindred spirit. She never met a stranger.

Tami loved her children very much and never thought she could love anymore until the day she became a Mamaw. Tami was a Diabetic Educator with Upbring/Lutheran Social Services for 15 yrs. Prior nursing experience includes Wound care, Emergency room and Home care where she took care of ventilator dependent children.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and infant son Jimmie L. Franklin. Tami is survived by her husband Dr. Frederick Devaughn Washington of Lubbock, daughter Marquita Johnson and husband Kevin of Little Elm, son Makenzie Franklin and wife Kimberly also of Little Elm, brother Jim Arbuckle and wife Dominga of Lubbock, sister Rhonda Knox and husband Joseph of Corpus Christi, nephew Josh Arbuckle of Oklahoma, special niece Kaitlyn Knox of Corpus Christi, great nephew Jayden (Jaybirdie) Knox of Corpus Christi, niece Lesley Picon, nephews Johnny Picon IV and Daniel Arbuckle all of Lubbock. She is also survived by extended family including multiple brothers and sisters in law, Aunt Jacque Richter from Richmond, TX and Uncle Ronnie McNabb of Lubbock, and many loving cousins. The surviving loves of her life, her grandbabies, Donovan Myles Johnson, Briana Michelle Burse, Bennett Chase Franklin, and Boston James Franklin all of Little Elm, TX, and her faithful companion Puppywash.
